Sunday 14th April 2012, another FA Cup Semi-Final, more importantly another for Manchester City.
Manchester City v Chelsea.
An insight to what Team Russotrading get up to in their spare time!!
Whether you are a football fan or not, a day out to London is exciting, so to a football fan Wembley is very exciting.
The adrenalin starts on the coach, full of your team supporters, watching recent dvd matches on the tv …. ours was the last derby 2-1. Singing, having a few beers, catching up with friends, all in all a good day out!
I love it when we stop off at the Services and there are lots and lots of coaches, of all the same supporters, there is a stream of blue t-shirts streaming out and across the grass into the shops. As the weather was warm and sunny, we all stood chatting outside, stretching our legs before we continued on with the 2nd half of the journey.
We arrive at our destination Wealdstone Football Club where approx 750 city fans would be descending. You pre- book yourself in with your coach, there is a wonderful small club house and the people there are extremely welcoming, they have put on a BBQ for us all, the weather is lovely, so we all stand outside eating burgers, drinking a beer and building up the excitement for our City v Chelsea game.
And then…… it is time!!! Everyone drifts off in their own groups to the nearest tube – Ruislip Manor. Someone elects themself as the leader and buys all the rail tickets on arrival for the group, whilst the group are keeping up the ‘chanting’…..:-)
We arrive at Wembley and this is where the hub of excitement is…… this is why it is worth travelling from 7.30am this morning
What a great game, City dominatedmost of the game, but the last 20 mins was very
exciting and tense. The best team won on the day!
We are back again on 11th May for the Final to do it all again. Come on City, you can do it!!
